ROOTS DEEP WITHIN

My loves, let’s do a journey together. A journey deep into a forest. A forest so green and lush, with moss covering stones and trees growing high up to the sky. You walk along the forest floor, leaves crackle under your bare feet, and you feel the cool earth. Right in front of you is a tree. But not just any tree, it is a huge, ancient tree..thick and gnarled. It has witnessed hundreds, maybe even thousands of years on earth. And it is still here..watching, observing, listening.

Send your gaze to the base of the tree. Roots grow around the trunk, running between your feet like massive veins, some as thick as your waist. You step over and walk on them while you slowly come closer and closer to this ancient tree. Sit under this beautiful tree and lean against its bark. Put your hands on the surrounding roots..they feel strong and yet also fragile. They are the life support of this tree, nourishing, stabilizing, literally rooting it into the earth. You want to learn more about those roots, so you close your eyes, take a deep breath, and ask the roots to take you into their world.

With your eyes closed, your senses are heightened, your feelings and smell intensify. You smell the fallen leaves, the earthy scent of the moss, and hear the melody of the birds. You feel a sensation in your body, you are being pulled into the trunk of the tree, it is like your back just moves through the trunk until you sit inside the tree. It is dark and quiet, but you only stay here for a second because the roots answered your call and wanna take you on a journey within the earth. It feels like going down a slide, and it gets even darker. Deeper and deeper you go..you start smiling, this is an adventure!

You slide deeper and deeper, but you are not only going down, you are moving in every direction, following the roots. A vast network of roots spreads across the world, and you are part of it. And you are still going deeper and wider, it is dark, but you can see and sense the roots around you. It is getting warmer, you are coming closer to the earth’s core. But no worries, it is safe within the roots. You are just an observer, watching and learning. You feel strong and an inner knowing of being part of something so vast and beautiful that the human mind can’t really comprehend. This strength, love, and power you feel is also your own power. The roots are you, and you are the roots. Rooted within the earth, being one with it all.

Slowly, you come back from the depths of the earth, feeling another pull, but this time, you are being pulled up until you are back under the tree where it all started. Fresh air is greeting you, birds are chirping, and a soft wind blows into your face. Breathe, my dear. You are alive..isn’t that amazing?!

Breathe in the feelings of strength, love, and gratitude. Love for all there is and will be. Open your eyes and drink in the rich colors and scents of Mother Earth. As humans, we need the connection to her. We need to feel the cool grass, the wind in our hair, and the sun on our face. This is our home..temporarily, yes, but still, it is our home. Let your roots grow, my dear. Let them grow like a fire..wild, untamed, and strong.
