The village
Not often do such places exist, places that are so full of darkness and ignorance that the only description that suits it is rotten seeds,
A place that is full of ignorant minds and thin cold bodies, dead souls and tired eyes full of sadness and despair, desperately looking for a meal. A place where eyes are accustomed to darkness, resisting the light and forcing themselves to close, because those people do not want to witness their sins and ignorance. Pale lips trembling unable to speak the truth or confess their sins. Pitiful and abandoned hearts that have never had a drop of love, their hearts do not even know what feelings are.
Wounded hands that keep working for hours, days, years, decades without weariness. They work merely for a meal, just to survive the day, without a goal or a sight. They continue to live without hope or thought, they don’t know how a life is supposed to be or what it is supposed to mean, they don’t know what it means to be free, in such place, the word freedom doesn’t even exist in their languages. A concept they have never heard of, a thing that has never been mentioned, not by the parents, not by the grandparents, not by the religious men and not even by the leaders.
A deserted and cold place, filled with darkness and dirty creatures that lurk in every corner, searching for a body to feed themselves on its flesh and light. The sunlight barely reaches such place, just like the deep sea that the sunlight can’t reach. Everyone is cruel and there is no mercy or warmth, their souls have been imprisoned for years, for centuries, for a thousand of lifetimes begging for mercy, asking for mercy from those who don’t know what mercy is.
A place where the people are mentally and emotionally empty, trying without boredom to search for happiness and salvation. Greedy and broken souls that kill and get killed, beat and get beaten, rape and get raped, rob and get robbed. They’re full of sins and dirt. They avoid looking at each other’s faces, they don’t look even when having sex, turning the lights off, doing it in total darkness as if they’re comitting a horrendous crime and need to finish it before the god’s eye, that is always wide open and sharply looking for a soul to punish, catches them, doing it completely platonically, without feelings, touching each other’s naked and filthy bodies, that mortal and full of sins. Unloading each other’s darkness into each other and hoping for a brief moment of rest.
A society, a country, a folk, a religion that is full of minds that do not think, hearts that do not feel, eyes that only see darkness, ears that only hear the cries of hunger, pale and cold faces with no human features. Even the god has abandoned this place, it seems that even the god doesn’t want to witness the darkness and evilness he has created. The god has turned his back on those people, yet those people don’t stop praying and killing for him, they never get tired of praying and begging him for forgiveness and abundance.
