Sinister Whispers In The Tower: One

—Date Dream: 22. August 2023—

Through my haze, I recognized the Dalmatian animatronic, standing before us. Its presence seemed to carry an unsettling weight.

I peered over the railing, surveying the scene below.
“Are you all set?”
“Yes, sir! We’re ready to give it a try. If you’d like, we can proceed with a test run,” came the enthusiastic response. I acknowledged the staff with a nod and gestured for them to start.

The setting was an abandoned nuclear power tower transformed into a theme park attraction for children and families.
Positioned atop the tower, I stood beside a door set within the wall. With a flick of a switch, the staff activated the animatronic; it slowly ascended the path, adhering to the tower’s walls, heading towards the door I was beside.
“Awesome! It’s working perfectly. Great job, everyone!” My voice resounded, echoing my praise down to the team below.

I followed the path the robot had taken down to the bottom of the tower. As I descended, thoughts of the impending attraction’s grand opening and the potential challenges it might present filled my mind.
“Okay, now we must hope that no difficulties arise during opening hours. Our visitors deserve a flawless performance,” I said to the team, approaching them, my lips curving into a worried smile.
“Don’t worry, sir! We’ll keep an eye on it.”
“Two eyes are better than one,” I quipped, lightening the atmosphere. “I’ll be heading over to the other side now to check on the rest of the preparations. See you all later.”
