He felt too stressed out, it has been for months now, precisely saying nine months now. He was relentlessly searching for a job. His classmates either got a job or joined for higher studies, only he is left now. He remembered the way his mother said to him that he will find something, don't lose hope. She did try to smile reassuringly, but he could see the sadness and worry behind her eyes. He could measure his days with the distances he walked, never ending walks, from one place to another and by now he knew all the nooks and corners in Munich. It's a big city where anyone can get lost in the glamour. But the strange thing was he felt alone in that huge city with a sea of people.

For the 10th time he checked his bag and file to ensure everything was in place. He did not feel confident in any of the outfits he had, the mirror just made him feel uncomfortable. This interview is extremely important, and he wanted to look best, say clever words and stand out, because he knew, like every other interview he has attended so far, there would be a vast number of candidates, and he was just an ordinary prospect with no experience to showcase.

The pressure was too much. When he entered the U-bahn he was going in a regressive state of mind. Though he knew these thoughts are not going to help, he couldn't resist them. He felt it difficult to hold on to hope. after one station in the middle of nowhere, the U-bahn stopped! There has been a technical difficulty. An announcement came requesting the passengers to be patient. He started tapping his feet and cracked his knuckles.

"Young man, you look worried" the voice was from his right, until then he didn't notice the elderly granny sitting beside him.

"I will be late for the interview". He fought to control the welling up of his eyes.

She took hold of his hand, placed it in her palm and gently stroked back of his hand and said. "It's a matter of time, you will reach the place and you will get this job, do not worry so much"

He found it calming, his nervousness was leaving him slowly and he never felt this way before. "Thank you, you are so kind".

Granny smiled at him, adjusting her glasses.

Then the train started moving, with a followup announcement that the technical difficulty is resolved and there won't be any problems in the journey ahead.

He came out from the U-bahn as a new person. He had a smile on. His mind was now like a clear sky.

The interview went well. After a week he did receive a call from the company that he got the job. The only thing that came to his mind at that moment was the Granny's face. He realized he hadn't asked for her name or address.
