Space

Space is a given
A fact we can’t deny
The universal space in which our planet exists
The space between the earth and the sky

For some, space is a geographic hurdle
A long distance love divided by the sun and the moon
For some space evokes anxiety
An emptiness may loom

For lovers space is an important part
A closeness is formed by the joining of hearts
Entwined and tangled together you’ll grow
But when space is suffocated
Cracks will show

We all need space to develop ourselves
Space should be respected to better life’s wealth

If there was no space for trees to be tall, birds to fly
If the earth did in fact touch the sky
The chance to run free and enjoy what we have
Would be squished into nothing and life would be flat

Imagine if our lungs didn’t have space to breath,
Our hearts didn’t have space to beat
Space is natures necessity
It exists within you,
It exists within me.

Acknowledge your space,
The space in which you share
The space of those around you,
Of whom you really care

The space you give yourself to breath,
The most important space of all,
As if you don’t have space to fill
How will your life become full?
