Sunflowers and The Moon

Ned Taufik

by Ned Taufik

Story

The seam on my pants

The one that you made

The song in my ears

The one that you sent

The curves of your body

The one in my head

The memories we had

The ones I really miss

And your flesh and bones

Your hands and feet

In and within my legs

I wish I had said a better goodbye

If I knew how long I had to go

But the sun and the prairie

And the reservoir

Of happiness

Of your face with a light smile

In sepia on my camera

And a sunflower

Under the moon

And my hands

On your chest

From afar

Telling you

I will come home

My sunflower and my moon
