My 2020 vision is perfect,
I wish you a Happy New Year,
I’ve got some plans and things to do,
This year I will not fear.

It’s time to make a start,
Resolutions to follow through,
I’m following my heart.

As far as I can see,
I’ve not brought old habits to,
The year ahead of me.

Before the dawn chorus
Heralds the arrival
Of a new day

Darkness
Before gentle twilight
Tendrils of sunlight
Turn black to grey

Wakefulness
Before the alarm ring
Insomniacs rising
Sleep fades away

Thoughtfulness
Before daily stresses
Repress our dreams
Back to reality
