Thank you, because you have taught me more about life than life itself.
Thank you, because by your side, I learned that music is alive and has feelings, that the lyrics keep secrets, and the notes carry emotions.
Thank you, because with you, I learned that autumn trees dress in yellow, orange and red, to dance with the soft breeze that announces a white winter.
Thank you, because with you, I have found and lost myself. I have discovered my bravest and embraced my weakest side.
Thank you for that hug you gave me that summer night, beneath the lights of an old street that guards thousands of stories.
Thank you for all those afternoons of laughter and games, for teaching me that growing up doesn’t mean forgetting how to have fun.
Thank you for that night, when you showed me that I could write stories and tell tales.
Thank you for teaching me the beauty of flowers. With you, I discovered that sunflowers are my favorites, because they glow like you.
Thank you for the thousands of adventures that I have lived by your side. Now I know that missing a flight is more fun when I am with you.
Thank you, for all the party nights we’ve had together where we discovered that our bodies get tired, but the laughter never stops.
Thank you, because together we discovered that distance doesn’t matter when the will to go on exists, that kilometers become millimeters and hours become seconds.
Thank you, because you hugged my shadows with the same tenderness that you hugged my soul.
Thank you, because you taught me to believe in myself. To know that the universe only waits anxiously for your desires and that dreams are tangible if you are willing to turn them into reality.
The truth is that I lack the words to thank life for knowing you, but I have plenty of reasons to keep trying, to let the world know that life with you is painted yellow like sunshine.
May these letters on paper be a witness of my love for you, because words in the air are carried away by the wind, but a word forged with an action lasts in memory.
Today I love you and tomorrow too.
