the abandoned house: the bloody truth

Amy woke up with an excruciating headache. Heavy raindrops and roaring thunder were composing a terrifying tune. Gradually, the pain wore off, and her vision became clearer. Almost shrouded in obscurity, unsettling shadows on the timeworn walls danced eerily in the dim light. As Amy attempted to sit up, metallic chains clattered against the floor through the pouring rain. Her right ankle had been chained in heavy metal to the wall in the basement. A shadow coming down from the stairs sent a jolt of fear in her veins. No sound could penetrate the dominant raindrops. Two men in surgical gowns came into her sight. Amy backed off cursing at them. They unlocked the chain but handcuffed her and carried her upstairs.

The bright light forced her eyelids to snap shut. The door connected to a long hallway with rooms on each side. In one room, Amy could see monitoring screens, two of them being the watchful view of the living room and the front porch of the house. The two men took her to a well-lit room. The first thing Amy sensed was the smell of strong chemicals. An assortment of surgical tools sprawled across tables.

A thunderbolt of shock coursed through her entire being as three dead bodies with open abdominals lay on the operating tables one of them being poor Henry. Their internal organs had been removed. Her knees wavered beneath her as the men told her to lie down on a table. One of the men uncuffed her, telling her to take off her clothes as the other prepared the surgical tools. They did not talk to each other and seemed like they had done this atrocious thing many times. Amy knew she had to outsmart them to escape. When she was completely uncuffed, she forcefully kicked the man in his crotch. The man fell down to the ground in a bent position. The other man quickly pushed a button and an alarm went off. Amy quietly grabbed a sharp knife from the table. As the man approached her, she stabbed him in the neck.

Amy went straight into the hallway. Two other tall men wearing black were chasing her down. She saw the exit sign at the end of the hallway, which led to a long staircase. She went up the stairs in swift wide strides. One of the men grabbed her ankle, but she kicked him in the face down the stairs. Then, with force, she sent the door in front of her flying open. She was now in the living room. She hastened to get out as soon as possible. It was still raining cats and dogs outside…………….

It was a sunny day. “To the brave woman, who, bravely fought off evils, more horrifying than ghosts, Amy Brown Louise,” announced the MC. Amy went to the stage to accept her award for being a breakthrough in the journalism industry. “Thank you. Thank you,” said Amy. As she was about to kick off her speech, two men wearing surgical gowns stepped onto the stage and stabbed her with surgical knives.

Amy woke up lying on the table in the abandoned house. She was in her hallucination. She panted as she remembered she was caught by four other men outside during her escape. Back in reality, a man injected something in her left arm. She lost clarity in reality and had to accept her unfortunate destiny.
