THE ARTIST

Story

Swinged delicate lines on a blank piece of paper. At the front of the paper is a naked young woman sitting. She sits with her back to the Artist. He doesn’t see her breasts or vagina. He just sees the beautiful shape of her body. The single freckles, moles and scarves on her hands and partly on her hips.

Joey only saw the woman’s beauty in their shapes of the body since his aunt took him to an art museum, with one of the special exhibitions where only paintings of naked people especially women are shown. Joey’s first painting was his sister. She sat with her back to Joey. His father saw that and got angry when he looked at his sister. But then, when he saw that his son kept more focus on the paper than on his sister. He got calm. Later he recognised that his son was a truly talented artist. He shouldn’t work at the factory like his father. His father worked more and harder to finance a good art college where he could prove his skills. From that time, Joey painted. At college, he faced problems. He couldn’t paint objects or landscapes. Only naked bodies. Not even dressed one, no matter how often he tried. The money his father always sent him spent on equipment and rent for his art studio. One day, Joey got that frustrated that he threw all his paintings out of the window. A man who walked along the pavement from a meeting saw the flying paintings from the window. His name is Robert Goldwin. And he worked at an investment firm. As he saw the paintings he knew that to finance this guy would be a great Investition. Hopefully, it did not end like the street singer who did a hit and left him after his girlfriend came back to him. The song is called “Your Voice”. Kind of country style. But Joey wasn’t interested in women. He only drew them, left them and showed her naked bodies at art galleries. But the women liked him. They adored him after he showed them how amazingly he drew their bodies. Jaqueline, who was just called Jacky, was the last woman who sat as a model for Joey’s next painting. She wasn’t special. She looked like the other models before but this time it was different. SHE left him after he finished his work and didn’t even pay attention to HIS work. That wasn’t before. Every girl asked him after work for dinner or something in that way except her. Jacky. At night, he stared at the painting. Why didn’t she ask him out ? She didn’t come back. After five days, Joey met Jacky on the street. They talked. She never came back because his work was monotonous. She saw the last pictures of him, and they looked quite the same. She challenged him. That never ever happened to him. The same for the critics for his masterpieces. Everyone adored him. She challenged him and that made her kind of attractive. She was honest, and he looked at the paintings. They looked in fact quiet the same. Awful. This is not the way he started. He thought about his father, who had already died last year, and Robert, who helped him to start in the big art scene. For these two people he was thankful. And Jacky was the third. She was the person he wanted to spend his life with. One last painting after 20 years. She would be his last masterpiece. He tried it over and over again, and failed. She was not always sacrificed for the result. After two years, he showed a painting to Jacky. She looked at it critically. She lied it besides and kissed him full of pleasure. It was a MASTERPIECE. She took him to the sleeping room to celebrate it. Swinged lines of Jacky’s body covered them.
