We strolled through the park, making our way towards the sandy beach nearby. Andrew mentioned how much he enjoyed this particular type of juice. I couldn’t help but disagree, saying that lemon juice isn’t really my thing unless I’m trying to cut down on fats. We shared a laugh about it. Then, Andrew playfully commented that I should have more lemon juice because I seemed to have a lot of fat. His remark annoyed me, so I decided to give chase, hoping to catch up and playfully confront him. As we ran, we both ended up falling down on the sandy beach. The sight of the sunset was absolutely breathtaking. We couldn’t help but giggle. At that moment, Andrew looked at me and said, “Siera, you are as beautiful as that sunset.” I couldn’t help but blush and playfully told him to stop flattering me.
“Why do you keep giving me these types of compliments?” I asked Andrew, feeling a mix of confusion and curiosity. He looked at me with a sincere expression and said, “I like you, Siera.” But don’t take it the wrong way. I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately, and I’ve missed you.” His words took me by surprise. It’s not every day someone confesses their feelings so openly. Andrew continued, “I know we have met for only two days, and it might seem crazy to say this, but I love you, Siera. I want you to be my girl, but I don’t want to rush anything. I want to prove to you that I’m the right man for you. I’ll do whatever it takes.” His words were both flattering and overwhelming. I sat there in silence, unsure of how to respond. Andrew smiled and said,” You are such a humble and sweet girl. Any man would be lucky to have someone like you.” I took a deep breath, still processing everything he had just said. It was a lot to take in, and I needed time to figure out my own feelings. I thanked him for his kind words and told him that I needed some time to think. It was important for me to be honest with myself and with him. He smiled and understood, saying it was alright. He then asked if I would be free on the weekend, and I happily replied with a yes. Andrew excitedly shared his plans, mentioning that he would pick me up for a date night on Saturday. He even sweetly mentioned that he would send me a perfect dress to wear for our first date.
As our conversation came to an end, Andrew explained that he had some important things to take care of and wouldn’t be able to accompany me back to the hostel. He leaned in and gently kissed me on the forehead, bidding me goodbye.
