the infinite well – part 1

Recording Diary, first attempt.

Hello, my name is Rafael and you are about to witness the greatest invention of all time. I am a scientist, and I have developed a machine that should be able to create a time warp, thus allowing me to travel into the past or the future.

I have spent my whole life researching how to do this, and I finally found a way.

I have already turned on the machine and everything seems to be working correctly. I’ll set a date of some sort and hope it works.

On my wrist I have a device where I can choose the time when I want to go, and even when I will stay there.

I have programmed it for March 16, 1887. I will stay there for exactly 20 seconds, after which the machine should bring me back.

All set. I pressed the start button and something strange began to form around me. It is as if I am going through every moment between 2021 and 1887 at the speed of light.

I hear voices around me, I see the buildings that were here before, all passing very fast by me. It’s making me dizzy, I’d better close my eyes.

A few seconds passed, and the machine stopped, I seemed to have reached my destination.

Damn it! I think I made a miscalculation. I forgot to consider that the machine moves in time, but not in space. I should have researched what was here in 1887, however, it is too late now.
