In ancient Rome there was a slave,
Who wished his soul was free.
Because of his immoral crave,
The Romans disagreed,
He was put on heavy trial
And sentence was all set:
For his unrightful strong denial
He had to pay with death.
The Romans left him on the aren
To be the hungry lions’ feast
But their labor was all barren
The lions didnot harm him least.
They say it must be what God willed
If prayers reach his highest seat;
This slave was not by lions killed,
Because he gave them often meat.
