I didn’t even want to wake up that day, but something told me that this was important.
It was a sunny day that eventually turned gray. The sun was slowly hiding behind the huge clouds that covered every inch of the clear sky.
As I stepped out of the tram, my body felt heavy. Just as heavy as the pouring of the black clouds that left my clothes drenched with the tears of the sky.
I didn’t want to meet up with people I had never seen before, but something told me that I should go.
When I looked at my soaked shoes I got annoyed. Maybe I should have just waited for the next tram and went home?
I didn’t even notice you when I looked at all the different people staring at me as I walked up to them.
But as I turned around and looked at everyone, my eyes stopped at your presence.
How could such a perfect human being stand right across from me?
I always kept my heart locked safely away, I would never let it fall for someone that easily.
Or would I?
I couldn’t believe my eyes as I saw you. I didn’t dare to look at you more than a second.
But your eyes still managed to stain my memory forever.
You also looked in my direction, but was I really your view? I do hope so.
I knew that my wet clothes didn’t matter anymore. Nor did my lack of motivation. Because both of them were gone, and so much more.
Of course, I noticed how fast my heart was beating out of my chest. I always thought this kind of experience was just a myth. But you weren’t a myth, you were right across from me.
I knew that I wanted to look at you forever.
I knew that I needed to get to know you better.
I knew that everyone who would try to steal you away from me would be my enemy.
