Like day and night
Like sun and moon
So are Achilles and Patroclus

One is a fighter and one is a healer
One is a singer and one is a teller
One is full of pride and one is full of hope
One is full of joy and one is full of sorrow

Adored like the sun
That was Achilles, the golden boy
His voice was gold
His heart was bold
And immortal blood flowed through his veins

Forgotten like the moon
That was Patroclus, his philtatos
His hands healed
His heart wasn’t sealed
He was the most important person for Achilles

Two lovers
Just two boys
Bounded by fate and love
Like a hawk and a dove

But fate is cruel
None of both could be fooled
They knew what was coming for the best Greek
It’s a fate no one would seek

Time was good but not long
Life had to go on
And so began the Trojan war
And the good times were done for

Two lovers on a hill
Both knowing the fate of Achill
They know death, they know fear
But still they have to stay here

Achilles on the field
Patroclus in the med tent
Achilles with a shield
Patroclus to prevent

10 years of fate was out of their control
Time can take a heavy toll
They loved, but they feared
The day that death appeared

1000 ships for Helena
An army against Troy
Cheers to Achilles
But only a heart of Patroclus

Achilles’ heart was filled with pride
But that came with a bad side
Agamannon knew his pride
And stole Achilles’ bride

From begging to crying
Achilles wouldn’t listen
He watched his people dying

Killed by Hector
Patroclus died with love in his heart
Killed Hector
Achilles died with yearning in his heart
