Solving problems can be hard. Sometimes, I wish there was a magic fix for every problem, like medicine for headaches. It’s fun to imagine a world where everything is easy…
After thinking about what life would be like without problems, I grabbed my tablet to play my favorite game. “Oh no!” I shouted when I saw I was back at level one. Frustrated, I tossed the tablet onto the bed. I was angry but still wanted to play, even if I had to start all over again. But soon, I got bored. There were no more challenges.
I stared at the tablet and saw the Apple logo on the back. “Maybe I should call the Apple people for help,” I thought. I found a phone number and dialed. “Bip… Bip… Would you like some apples and chicken wings?” a voice said on the other end. I quickly realized I had called the wrong number!
By then, I was hungry because my dad, who was at work, forgot to make lunch. So, I decided to order food instead.
Later, my neighbor came by, and I asked her for help with my tablet. She didn’t know much about technology, but she was happy to help with something else. Just then, I accidentally knocked over my dad’s favorite coffee mug, and it broke! My neighbor suggested we make a new one together.
We spent hours crafting a beautiful mug from clay. It turned out great! I felt proud and happy, realizing that I had solved a problem without even noticing.
At the end of the day, my dad came home and apologized for forgetting lunch. But I didn’t mind. I told him about my day, feeling content. “Wow, you had quite a day!” he said with a smile.
That’s when I realized he was right—I had solved a lot of problems and even learned something new: how to make a mug! My game got boring because it was too easy, but life stayed interesting because it was full of challenges to solve.
With my power to solve problems, every day could be full of fun and excitement. Let’s see what tomorrow brings…
Challenge: Make a sign that says, “Problems can be exciting” and look at it whenever you face a challenge. This will remind you of your power to solve problems!
