The backpack was packed. We are about to say goodbyes, but I am not ready. I am never ready to say goodbyes. I jump on my bike and go to the most open space one can only imagine, where nothing stands in the way. Nothing stands in the way of the horizon. Right on time! My traveler, the Sun, is leaving. I look at it until its last rays. Almost below the horizon it throws the last glimpse at me. And then it is gone. I stare at the horizon for a while. The horizon of orange color. Everything around me changes. I see the first stars. A signal for me that it is time to go. Towards my adventures.

From the farthest part of the sky, the Night comes. As if by command, the lamp posts turn on and streets start singing their song of light, welcoming the Night. Listen! My nocturnal friends, shy night creatures, sing along, slowly waking up, leaving their shelters. We greet each other as if we were the only ones who knew the Secret. The Secret of the traveling Sun: where it goes, where it stays, when it leaves and when it comes back.
While it is traveling, I am wandering, too. There are so many bridges and streets to cross. All those crossroads! I stop and observe for a while how the lights change. Green, yellow, red, and back. The streets are telling me yet another story of never-ending flow of light. Instead of jumping back on my bike, I decide to walk — to slow down a bit. When I ride my bike at the speed of light, I don’t notice any small details of what surrounds me. I remind myself to slow down every so often. And just like that, the time stands still.
What do people do when they have all the time in the world? They can do everything they want. I can do everything I want! I can jump and dance. I can spin around, then try to walk straight, lose balance, and fall to the ground. I can lie on the ground and look at how everything is still spinning. Then get up and spin around again, looking at the stars, and seeing them turning into lines of light, instead of just dots.
Even though I’ve got all the time and adventures in the whole world, I start missing the Sun. In moments like this the Moon, dear Moon, reminds me that the Sun and I are never apart. Here it is, reflecting the Sun rays, reminds me that distance does not mean separation. And this is something that keeps me going. Even when the Sun is not around, its light is always present. It glows inside me, too. I continue to enjoy my beautiful Night. I climb a tower and calmly observe the world from there… Look! How wonderful the night sky is! I get to see the stars. They accompany me wherever I go. I take out my notebook and pencils and draw the constellations I see. Constellation by constellation, I make them up. I like to make up their names, too. This is the constellation of Two Mountain Peaks, this one is the constellation of Closed Eye. Oh, look! The sky starts to change its color. Time did not stand still after all. It is a matter of minutes now until I see two skies. Here they are.
