The time we have left

Hours go by and I long to see you again, laughing in the mornings and smiling in the evenings, to worship the sweetness of your scent and to feel the softness of your lips.

Days go by and I hate the situation that life has given us, separated by an ocean, divided by the misfortune of life. It seems that seeing each other again depends on a gamble.

Months go by in vain because I don’t know how many are left to lose myself in your eyes again. I can only dream of your cheerful singing under the sun and the tenderness of your arms around me.

But even though distance separates us, I feel your love close to me, I find a memory in every room, a reminder in every object.

Your memory dances through the corridors of my mind, enlivening the love you have for me, filling my existence with your name, making me forget the distance, and the time that we have left.

That is why I feel that destiny will let us find each other again because you live in me as I live in you.
