Too Late?

April 9th

It has been three days that Laura and Tim has not communicated with each other. Both parties hit that certain level of hurtfulness where pride takes over control, and where the ego is more important than the heart. They both spent their days apart in a conflicted and confused state. This time, surprisingly, Tim made the first move, just shortly before Laura was about to lose hope.

“Hi Laura, I hope you are doing alright. I just wanted to let you know that I am really sorry for my last messages… I haven’t really been myself lately. I no longer know who I am or what I stand for. Anyway, that is a different story. I love you and I miss you. I hope it is not too late to reach out to you…” – Tim hit sent around 11 AM.

When Laura saw Tim’s message, her face lit up. Finally, the one person who she sacrificed so much for over the past two years, is admitting he was in the wrong. She started to think that the situation can be solved, and they can pick it up where they left off. Laura, knowing it takes two to tango, responded:

“Hi Tim. I have been devastated over the past couple of days, to be honest with you. I thought we were falling apart and with that, my world is crumbling. I have not been able to be myself, I lost my appetite, and I was just waiting to hear from you… I love you too, more than anything or anyone… Do you have time to meet?” – she asked hesitantly yet hopeful.

“Yes, absolutely. I miss seeing you and cuddling you so much!”. – Tim agreed right away to meet Laura. He knew exactly how to warm up her heart immensely, they have been here before a hundred times.

They agreed to meet at 2 PM that day. Laura, wanting to seduce Tim again, picked a floral printed red dress to convince him – she is worth all of it. And she did well. As soon as Tim noticed her on the streets, he could not take his eyes off of her. Right away, they hugged each other, and they remained entangled in each other arms for minutes long. Roughly one hundred people could walk past them by that point, but they were just each others’. The outside world suddenly ceased to exist for them. It was two people in love, being caught up in each other’s worlds. They finally got a taste of what they have been craving. They were love deprived.
