trapped in another universe – part 1

I miss her so much. My wife, Ana, died months ago, and all I wanted was her back.

My grandmother always performed rituals to contact the dead, and she even told me about a ritual that can bring dead people into our world, obviously, she also said it was very dangerous and risky.

I don’t care, I can’t take it anymore, every day my longing grows more. I don’t care what the consequences will be, I need to do this, I need to try.

I went down to the basement to get the old materials that my grandmother used, and I also found her book, where is the ritual that I want to do.

I set up everything the way it said in the book, placed the candles in front of the mirror, next to a bewitched tablet that my grandmother created.

I repeated the words that the ritual asked for, but something went wrong, and I ended up in a different world. Here it looks a lot like our world, however, there is something wrong, there seems to be no life.

The people here are strange, they are always serious and all they do is work. Nobody cares about anybody, I’m starting to get scared.

I saw a driver run over a lady and continue driving, as if nothing had happened.

These people are crazy, they seem to have no souls. I have the impression of being in some kind of world where there are no emotions, everyone is rational all the time.

I am walking down the street when I hear a familiar voice, it’s my wife, she is here.

I looked back and there she was, but something was wrong, she looked different. She looked tired and despondent, she was not happy to see me. I think I made a mistake.

As soon as she saw me, Ana seemed to become even sadder, I believe she is disappointed in me, I just don’t know why.

I asked her to walk across the square with me, to try to talk. She just followed me, still looking at me seriously.

When I told her what I had done, Ana started to cry.

After calming down a bit, she told me that we were in one of the “mirror dimensions”. This is a world that lies between our world and the world of the dead.
