Wake me up,
When the warmth of your body has worn off from my skin.
When the smell of your hair has left the covers of my pillows.
When the outline of your torso on my sheets has been straightened out.
When the whispers of your breath have calmed my speedy heart.
When the scent of your shirt has been taken away from my closet.
When the mark of your lips has been smudged from my glasses.
When the floor of my house has forgotten your footfall.
When the atmosphere of my room has erased your memories.
When the tip of my fingers have stopped running through the outline of your face.
When the moments of your presence have outgrown my embraces.
When the grip of my arms has loosened around your waist.
When your whispers in my ears have stopped distracting my intensions.
When your presence in the room doesn’t play with the rhythm of my heart anymore.
When my memories do not crave your smile and laughter anymore.
When the butterflies in me have stopped teasing my soul with your name.
When the warmth of your palm has been faded from my face.
When the gaze of your eyes has lost its gravity around the orbit of my existence.
When my Universe has lost its consciousness about your being.
Wake me then, I might let you go. Promise me, will you? Your departure would never leave a void in me.
When I open my eyes and my dreams are incapable anymore to behold you!
