As a child we all had wings
Dreaming about little things
Little things but big ideas
When were they replaced by fears?
.
We were told to grow up quick
Give up your dreams would do the trick
But every second time goes by
So use your wings – it’s time to fly
Live every day like it’s your last
Soon they will be in the past
.
See – one day we will all be old
And only stories will be told
Make sure the will be worth to hear
So go take risks and beat your fears
.
Just spread your wings and fly
Live before you die
.
A poem about growing up, about giving up your childhood dreams and replacing them with rational thoughts, about those who break free and chase their dreams.
