Winter depression
Like a warm hug in the cold
to feel less lonely.
Stranger oh stranger
Tell me how to feel less pain
to keep me alive.
Close my eyes to be
the one I always wanted
but could never be.
Mourning the death of
a beloved one is hard;
acceptance is too.
Life is too short to
cry and stop living;
let’s stop living then.
Can I be happy?
When remembering your pain
is all I do?
A hero is one
who smiles so that one’s children
can’t see the illness.
And yet you left us
all alone with nowhere to go.
It is cold outside.
What a sweet lie I
have to tell myself every
now and then to live.
