Swinging all day
I’m in my grandma’s garden
While I watch
The honey-making bees
A voice I hear says:
“Why do you want to stay?”
They must not know
The possibilities
Floating all day
Within my grandma’s garden
With eyes closed
Can’t mind what I don’t see
The voice I heard
It slowly fades away
I do not know
Why it runs from me
Spending all day
In my grandma’s garden
But it’s fine
I have nowhere else to be
That voice is gone
Good riddance, I suppose
Because what more
Could a child need?
Sitting alone
In my grandma’s garden
I’ll stay
Because my life’s a breeze
That voice I heard
Don’t care to understand it
It all works out so perfectly
I’m in my grandma’s garden
Why would I want to leave?
